- The Tropical Forest Trust (TFT) is a global non-profit organisation that helps companies and communities deliver Responsible Products.
- Our factory has been using TFT certified timbers for our environmentally aware customers for some time. Our factory itself has been certified for TFT Chain of Custody with certificate number 84. Being certified shows that our TFT products comply with the highest social and environmental standards on the market.
- - If the material for the panels is not specified on ordering the door, it is up to the factory to decide if they mount Merbau or MDf panels in the doors.
- - Almost every door can be factory made to be used in areas where the (Victoria) building standard BAL-LOW up to BAL-29 is applicable. This might mean an adjustment in the design of the door.
- - For the doors with a glassopening, where glass is mounted below 850mm, we strongly recommend to mount tempered glass. see below the difference!

- - Some facts of Merbau:
- Merbau is also known as Kwila, it originates from South east Asia, Phillipines, Parts of North Queensland, New Guinea and Solomons.
- The Merbau tree is a large hardwood tree (approximately 40 meter high), The Grain is usually interlocked and wavy.
- When it is first cut it is orange brown but with age it gets darker to red brown or brown.
- The weight of Merbau is usually between 800 and 900 kg per m3.
- Merbau is preverably painted
or lacquered, it can also be polished but gum bleeding might affect it.
- Merbau is rated as Hard, rate 2 (on a class scale of 6) and is a durable species for exterior use.
- When properly maintained it will at least last between 50 and a 100 years.
